I thought A Monster Calls was the best thing since sliced bread and The Crane Wife was…not. Plus, I really wanted to see what I thought of it – my history with Patrick Ness books has been an interesting journey. Why did I read this book: It sounded great. How did I get this book: ARC from the publisher What’s going on? And why is it that whenever he closes his eyes, he falls prey to vivid, agonizing memories that seem more real than the world around him?
